Kathy Joslin

Kathy Joslin Testimony

I was raised as a Mormon but I always knew that something was wrong and spent many nights crying myself to sleep. In my mid 20s, I began to search for the Truth but I did not find it until my search took me to Calvary Chapel in Bakersfield, CA. where God began to reveal Himself to me.

Matthew 7:7 says “seek and you will find”.

The church hosted a Leon Patillo concert where I responded to an altar call. I often think of the song that was playing as I walked down the aisle. It simply said; “come”. I felt that God’s irresistible call of grace was gently drawing me to Him. I have never looked back and the longer I walk with Him the more confident I am in His Grace toward me.

I met my husband, Larry, in 1981. We were married a year later and now we have three children and 12 grandchildren. After over 30 years of ministry in California and Washington State, Larry needed to slow down a bit. An opportunity presented itself here in York for us to serve together as live-in staff providing weekend and evening supervision at Living Water Rescue Mission. This also put us close to our son and his family in Columbus.

Matthew 7:7-8 (ESV)

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
